Many point-of-sale terminals or cash registers automatically produce receipts. If you are not using these devices but is asked to provide a receipt when you receive a payment from a customer, you can write it by hand or in a more professional way, print one by using a template, which could include your company logo, letter header, as well as the ability of auto-calculation of subtotals, taxes, grand totals, as what we implemented in this sample. To create this service receipt template from the original receipt template, all you need to do is to unprotect the Invoice worksheet, and then drag the cells / cells you don't need from the printable receipt form to place it outside the printable area.

The most noticeable difference between this free Clothing Shop Receipt and the default sales invoice template shipped with Invoice Manager for Excel is that the clothing shop receipt template has a "Size" column on the printable invoice form. That is, there are now 6 columns on the printable form - product#, description, size, quantity, unit price, line total. The other column, Taxable, which allows you to indicate whether each item is table or not, is located outside the printable form.

In order to create this invoicing sample, we added a custom field to the invoice body database table.

As stated earlier, in the database the underlying definition of the "Price" field allows up to 6 digits after the decimal pointer. So to have the Excel billing format show 4 digits, all we need to do is to change the display format.

Like the original form design, all columns on this form, including "Product#", "Description", "Unit Price" and "Quantity" are manually fillable / editable on creating invoices, except the "Line total" cells which are calculated using a group of Excel formulas. All line totals are rounded to 2 decimals after the point, which is suitable for many countries / regions around the world like United States, United Kingdom and Australia etc. And by default, the "Unit Price" field, although is formatted to show 2 decimals after the point, you can in fact enter up to 4 digits after the point by simply apply an Excel numbering format to the cells.

With the default database configuration, the "Category" field is not added to the "InvBdy" database table. Invoice Manager for Excel integrates an easy tool Custom Field Manager to do this.
